👰🏼 Ladies, take notes! If your special someone is about to put a ring on it, you should know that Montreal is an awesome place to throw a bachelorette party 💗

💕 NEW on the blog! One of my favourite areas in not just the UK but Europe: the stunning Cotswolds 💕
The Cotswolds / Love GREAT Britain
You guys know the past couple of months have been challenging to say the least; luckily, I was recently able to take a break from it all at the beautiful Estérel Resort just two hours from Montreal.
Also a great option for visitors looking to explore Quebec's beautiful Tourisme Laurentides region with its dense forests and hundreds of lakes!
New post up on the blog! 💕💻
I've been spending a lot of time in Montreal over the past couple of months and I've put together a list of things to do in my favourite neighbourhood.
Hey, guys! It's been a while! To be fully transparent I did put the blog aside in the past couple of months simply because I've had to face unexpected hardships in my personal life that I am now only slowly recovering from. As I value my privacy, I will not get into the nitty gritty details of it all but I will admit that it's been pretty shitty. Getting back in the groove of things now, working on a half-dozen posts, looking at travel plans once more. Bear with me as I navigate through this unchartered territory.
New posts will be live within the next few days!
Even MORE Harry Potter locations in Britain. A little something I prepared to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first novel! ♥
Can you believe Harry Potter is 20 years old today? ♥
Israel is a deeply beautiful country with an intricate, often confounding heritage and an abundance of layers to uncover. Let's see what I saw and did on my recent 8-day trip in the Holy Land.

What a lovely day to be cruising through the Rhine Gorge! Dotted with castles and vineyards, it's definitely one of the most picturesque portions of this cruise so far.
Express visit in Strasbourg's historic Petite France area 💕 As you do with AmaWaterways.
Stop 1 on the AmaWaterways Enchanting Rhine cruise: Riquewihr, in beautiful Alsace 💙🇫🇷❤️
Also I bought cheese and three excellent bottles of wine for 20 euros as you do in France so yeah, life's good.
Quick stop home for cuddles and then I'm off again for a couple of days. Again, he doesn't seem to agree 😻
I'm a hugely competitive person and naturally I love doing geography quizzes to push my knowledge further (but also, of course, to compare my score!). And this is honestly one of the HARDEST I've ever done, entirely based on logic and clues, not rapidity or knowledge. I finally completed it in 7 tries.
How many tries did you need?
If you enjoyed the King Arthur 👑 live updates earlier in April, you will LOVE this comprehensive post ❤️ about the mythical locations related to the powerful king all around Wales and England 🇬🇧
Never not on #wisteriawatch when in London. It was worth the quick 24 hour trip 💜
This view, this city ❤️🇫🇷💙
Parisian doors 💙🇫🇷
Step count for today: 26,729 🇫🇷 Well played, Paris.
If you like the photos you've been seeing on the blog, then perhaps you're interested in knowing what camera and gear I use on every trip. It's surprisingly affordable and lightweight!
Moving on from Amsterdam with Rail Europe... guess where? 🚄😏
This is the Alkmaar cheese market, the largest of its kind in the world 🐮 Cheese trade in Alkmaar started in 1365 (!!) and the guild, aka the kaasdragersgilde, was first mentioned in 1619. So yeah, cheese is a serious affair in this town. For obvious reasons (CHEESE!), this is my new favourite place in the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Visiting Paris on a budget? 💸 Don't worry. There are tonnes of things you can do without having to spend ANY money 🇫🇷 My latest article for my client Air Transat ✈️
You guys! I've been shortlisted as one of the "Best Established Travel Blogs" by Flight Centre UK 👑 I don't normally post this kind of thing on here but if you have a second to vote (it literally takes a second, I'm at the top of the page) and you enjoy my work, I'd really appreciate it ❤️
Greeting from Giethoorn 🇳🇱 This is THE impossibly photogenic villages entirely made out of canals that's constantly being featured as the Venice of the North and where the only appropriate way to get around is the barge ⚓️ And yes, it's every bit as amazing as it looks ❤️
Curious to see what I always, always bring with me whenever I travel to Europe? This packing list reflects the type of traveller that I am: minimalist, urban, style-conscious, who enjoys visiting bustling metropolises and soft adventures in the country.
Is that your style, too?
Surprise! I'm in Holland 🇳🇱 As you know I'm here to create content for the city guide I'm working on 📝 scouting Amsterdam's best cafés (NOT coffeeshops, that's not my jam!) ☕️ and boutiques (someone please take my credit card away) for you guys. A sample of my first day here ❤️
As if the past few weeks in the UK weren't idyllic enough as they were, I got to spend a couple of days in Bath, too! The stunning Roman city has over 2000 years of history and an unmistakably classy feel to it that I find completely irresistible. And if you can't make it for a weekend, know that Bath is just an 1.5 hour away from London by train, making it an ideal day trip destination!

Any Harry Potter fans out there? ⚡️Probably a few I imagine 😏 To finish my extraordinary trip through the Cotswolds I visited some of the locations used for the movies in historic Lacock, Wiltshire 🇬🇧 The abbey, village and a few houses were showcased throughout the series and I was quite ecstatic to see them in person! 🎥 Anything for Harry Potter ❤️
More incredibly postcard-worthy villages in the Cotswolds 📷 Courtesy of CJP Cotswold Tours. So glad I came here in the springtime 💐

🏰 FUN FACT: Sudeley Castle is the burial place of Queen Katherine Parr, the 6th wife of King Henry VIII 👑 making the non-royal castle one of the very few to hold royal romains.
The gardens are quite spectacular, but unfortunately, the property was badly damaged during the Civil War of the mid-1600s by controversial revolutionary Oliver Cromwell 💣 The owners decided to keep the ruins instead of rebuilding the castle, in remembrance of those who lost their life in combat 🇬🇧
Another fun fact: the formal gardens were designed to match the pattern in one of Elizabeth I's favourite dresses 😍

Moving on from northern England to the Cotswolds 🇬🇧 where I am spending a few days doing research for a few pieces ✏️ and by that I basically mean stopping in every village for photos 📷 and sampling every single country pub with a pint of cider 🍻
I know, my job is horrible. Someone's got to do it, right?

To conclude this rather epic King Arthur trip, Love GREAT Britain is inviting YOU to experience breath-taking locations inspired by King Arthur: Legend of the Sword across Scotland and Wales on a self-drive tour! Enter here:
Snapshots from a stunning day out in Cumbria. Jury's still out on whether Carlisle Castle -- the most besieged castle in Britain, by the way -- is actually Camelot but personally, I like to think it was, just for funsies. And just a few miles from there is Hadrian's Wall, a 2000-year old Roman fortification spawning northern England from west to east. What a way to
Did I ever tell you that I LOVE GREAT BRITAIN?! ❤️
Just ticked ✔️ another AWESOME item off my bucket list: I slept in a proper castle 🏰 And a historic one, too: this spectacular motte and bailey castle has been held by the Kings of England and Scotland and boasts one of the few remaining intact Norman keeps 👑 As for the decor and furniture, it's either entirely original or carefully copied from period pieces. Jaw = dropped.
My room was massively royal and only a little bit creepy at night. And yes, I slept with the reading lights on 😂😂

This is the precise spot where one of the major King Arthur: Legend of the Sword scenes was filmed. Can't wait to see it in theatres, as the view is really quite something!
Location is Nant Gwynant Pass in Snowdonia and arguably is an excellent reason to take the scenic route here in Wales!
#OMGBLegends // Wales
Scenes from Mount Snowdon, Wales' rooftop and where #KingArthur is said to have killed a fearsome red-eyed giant named Rhitta who made a cape out of the beards of his slain enemies. He is said to have ruthlessly killed all 26 kings of England and Wales, all but one one that would seal his inevitable fate... King Arthur himself.
A few snapshots of the stunning castle here in Caernarfon, one of the most famous in Wales! The medieval fortress was built under King Edward I who wanted to be seen by history as not just a mere conqueror - but as the rightful King of all of the Britons, much like the prophecy of King Arthur. Factual history and folklore interconnect on various levels at Caernarfon, making it that much more special and atmospheric.

A little something I've been working on before I jet off to a new destination. I can't get enough of my own provincial capital, it seems! :-)

Spontaneously booked a few days in Paris on my way back from Israel last week and onwards to Britain next week. Brief visit, but totally worth it. Actually, when is Paris NOT worth it?!
